Rubber base is a wall base that looks exactly as vinyl base in size and form, but offers the benefit of an exact color match in a case in which you are matching a rubber floor of the same color. Rubber base is synthetic rubber. Rubber base costs more than vinyl base, so rubber base is much less popular. As with vinyl base, a key feature of rubber base is that rubber is flexible. It can be easily hung or attached to a curved wall. Rubber is also more durable than vinyl. "Traditional wall base" is 4 inches tall.
Thermoplastic rubber is also used to replicate the profiles and look of finely milled wood in the form of millwork resilient wall base. Millwork is available in solid colors to look like metal and stone or as a paintable surface.
