Ceramic base or porcelain base are forms of hard surface wall base to finish the walls. Ceramic wall base may have a cove bottom to form an eased radius between the horizontal surface and vertical surface. This radius is important in wet environments to prevent water from settling in the floor-to-wall joints. In some cases, ceramic base is fashioned with a straight bottom, or we make the ceramic base on site by cutting tiles to the correct size.
Unlike wood base or vinyl base, ceramic base is almost always made by the same flooring manufacturer so that the floor tile and ceramic wall base are a perfect match. Furthermore, while vinyl base and wood baseboards are used with several flooring types, ceramic base is basically only used with a matching ceramic floor.
