Cleaning
In addition to the information given under Cleaning, please read these supplemental notes to our commercial clients.
Communication. We suggest that you communicate the cleaning date(s) and scope to the other company leadership members to offset any possible discomfort and so they can plan their activities accordingly. Please tell your general personnel so that they can prepare their work areas and not be surprised by our visit. It takes only a few minutes if each person picks up the items around their area: chair mat, trash can, paper, paper clips, etc.
Cleaning Quality. High-rises usually need our premium portable cleaning from the fourth floor and up. Our truck mounted cleaning equipment has an effective capacity of 400'. The hose length used and the vacuum strength have an inverse relationship. As the hose is extended, the drag is increased and the lift is decreased. Restaurants should pay special attention to the temperature of the water used. Our temperature control range up to 230 degrees allows us to use just the right setting for carpet soiled by airborne grease particles. We also offer a treatment for bacteria build up.
Drying Time. The drying time for most commercial carpets is between 2 to 4 hours. (Commercial carpet has a shorter pile than residential carpets.) We take special precautions when working with specialty products that are less dimensionally stable when exposed to moisture (e.g., Axminster, wool carpets). Wolfe Flooring can accelerate drying with air movers when appropriate. Small amounts of moisture may remain at the base of the carpet yarn beyond 4 hours.
Frequency. Wolfe Flooring reduces your paperwork, phone calls, price, and stress by scheduling routine maintenance on a 3, 4, 6, 9, or 12 month basis. At your request, we can call you a month before the anticipated cleaning. Some of the soil localization areas may need special cleanings in between the cleanings of the whole building. Often, our cleaning services are combined with an in-house housekeeping efforts to get the maximum dollar benefit.
Water Supply. Please verify that the outside faucets are in good working order prior to our arrival.
